Louise Peta Bedsor

Adversity is life-changing. It may bring out the best in people of character and resilience. Louise Bedsor is such a person.

Louise has invested more than 13 years of study and work in the legal profession.

Studying externally whilst working fulltime for Gympie Regional Council, Louise obtained an honours degree in laws from QUT.

Louise started her legal working life in Gympie with a local firm where she obtaining great mentoring and experience in property law, residential and commercial conveyancing, business law, criminal law, civil litigation, Wills and estates, employment law and other areas of general practice.

Louise then worked for two years in Noosa for a boutique criminal law firm, expanding her experience whilst developing that firm’s property law and civil law areas.  Louise was successful in defending a client charged with unlicensed driving in the Noosa Magistrates Court.  Louise also instructed Counsel in the District Court and the Supreme Court of Queensland. She is thoroughly experienced in the procedural and substantive requirements of the legal system.

In 2016, Louise commenced working for another law firm in Gympie as a property and commercial lawyer, practising in those areas and supervising all facets of the conveyancing section.  She also practised in anti-discrimination law, business law, Wills and Estates and general litigation.  She expanded her extensive experience in residential and commercial conveyancing, drafting many complex special conditions, with a high volume of matter completions.

In 2018, Louise decided to start her own practice with L & S Lawyers, as she wanted to control her own destiny.

Louise is admitted to the legal profession as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of Queensland and is entered in the Register of Practitioners in the High Court of Australia.  She is also a member of the Queensland Law Society.

Louise is married and lives in Gympie.  She likes skiing (both water and snow), hiking and camping.  Setting off in the caravan with her husband and dogs, and reading a good novel are a few of her favourite pastimes.
